Keesha Sharp
The film of Tyler Perry Why Did I Get Married includes her. Perry, Janet Jackson and the film indie Frozen Peas are all starring together in her. Other film credits for her comprise The 636 (for which she was awarded Best Actress in 2014's NYLA International Film Festival), Shattered! Never Die Alone, American Adobo, and American Adobo. Cum Laude's B.F.A. was awarded to Keesha upon her graduation. Keesha was able to begin her career in the stage world after she graduated from Cum Laude Conservatory with the B.F.A. In the Broadway National Tour of Carousel. The other theatre productions comprise Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin', Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Keesha performed alongside playwright August Wilson himself. Her work also includes the directing of episodes of "Lethal Weapon", Are We There Yet?" and short films One Day Lillian and Half Off. Keesha created Clean, The Brit & Broken Doll. In addition, she is involved in several projects that are currently under development. She is at present working on her debut full-length album following her smash record "Santa Baby."
